Independent Woman: Gypsy Weddings

Anyone else completely obsessed with My Big Fat Gypsy Wedding? If you haven't heard of it yet (which is utterly impossible, ads for that are everywhere), it's a reality show on TLC that shows the lives of modern Irish Travelers, Romani Gypsies, and other groups of Gypsies in Europe. They mostly focus on their special days like the weddings (those dresses are so intense!!), communions, and christening (duhhh it's TLC) and that's why I love it! It's so interesting how traditional their culture is: the girls are the only ones who do the "motherly" duties and are restricted and monitored from birth, while the boys can literally do whatever they want. 
I'm always horrified at the blatant separation of the sexes, but I'm also attracted to it. I find myself cooking and cleaning to the show, and wanting to "serve" my boyfriend. It's so silly, but I wouldn't mind dropping the "strong, independent woman" act for a bit here or there and just enjoy being a woman who has a man she wants to take care of. 
And honestly, those weddings are so gorgeous and exciting! I can't wait to have a beautiful wedding and (more importantly) the super sexual wedding party afterwards!
